Anyone from the UK heading to Rock im Park?

Hey there,

I am completely new to forums so not sure on the etiquette :p anyway my name is Johnny and i'm 26 from the UK. I was meant to be hitting up Rock im Park with a few friends but everyone has now bailed so i'm going solo!.. I still have my ticket and cannot wait to see this awesome line up, but I was wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me?

I've been to Rock im Park before back in 2015 and loved it. Don't know if this will get any responses

Not from the UK, but you are more than welcome at Rock im Park! You will find a lot of people to party together, most of them will be able to talk in english. When you are there on thursday, come to our forum meeting and drink a beer with us. We meet at 7pm just outside the entry conrol on the "grosse Strasse".. It is marked with "Treffpunkt" on the following map. You will be able to see our yellow t-shirts.

Thanks for the reply! I will definitely look to head there on the Thursday, I’m flying into Munich around 10am so will be heading straight to the festival to set up camp shortly after. Look forward to meeting you guys.

Looks like I'm in the same boat as yourself! Had some mates bail too, but I'm still hella psyched for this festival!
I'm 26 too and from N Ireland, I've booked to travel to Nuremberg on Wednesday to see the city, and then hitting the festival on Thursday to set up camp. I'm a first timer to Rock Im Park, so some experience would be welcomed
I'd be happy to buddy up for camping if you wanted! And then of course hit this forum meet up Lemme know if you're interested!

This all sounds great to me, happy to buddy up for camping and head to the meet Thursday evening.

I’m hoping to get to the festival around 10-11am Thursday so can meet there to set up camp? Are you on Facebook, might be easier to contact on there?

Also, since I initially planned to come with a friend and it was the first time at this festival for the both of us and didn't know what to expect, I had bought the seaside backstage camp for 2 people and now I am stuck in it alone.

Anyways, is the backstage camp a bad idea? I mean in terms of meeting people, partying and stuff? I can't change it now but well, would like some reassuarance that my decision wasn't that bad...

As far as I’m concerned the more the merrier! Again have you got Facebook, I’ll set up a group so we can all confirm a plan

As far as the camping goes I can’t really comment on the backstage camp as I went general camping last time as I am this time, although it is such a friendly festival so In terms of meeting people I don’t think you’ll have any trouble there :)
